StudioOneNetworks.com needed to restyle an entire site and add an administrative interface. Instead of working on 80+ pages individually, I suggested using Drupal to better manage the site as a whole and control the theme in a universal way. I evaluated, installed and configured modules including Views, CCK, Panels, Nice Menus, Accordion Menu, Jquery UI. I was given PSDs to slice up into a theme, using the Zen theme for a base, I was able to create a theme that works for them.

Proposed new website for the Long Island Php users group to add many more features and allow for more user interaction than the current site. Views, feeds, calendar, signups, and many more features are planned. User profiles with public and private items will be available. A Planet style blog feed has been setup as well as twitter feeds. Other features are planned.

FunnyGarbage.com needed to bring on a Drupal developer on a part time basis to help with getting functionality to a more complete stage before launch of the Ocean Portal site. I helped evaluate, install and configure modules and coded several blocks with views to further this goal.

Taunton Press wanted to explore the possibility of converting their sites to Drupal. I was instrumental in importing their existing users to Drupal as well as creating user profile pages using panels and views after having installed and configured Drupal and many contribution modules. After the initial evaluation period they decided to move in a different technology direction.

Millennium Medical Information Services needed to convert an existing site to Drupal. The simple brochure site was duplicated in Drupal in approximately 20 hrs, including styling. The views module was used to allow for display of the job listings, and also enabled Millennium to add/remove jobs as needed as well as edit any other pages as needed much more easily than before.
Apr 2009Project: Great Lakes Green Initiative recovery
Glgi.org needed help getting their site back up and running after a Mediawiki upgrade failed. I was able to restore the database to it’s original schema and data. Using an archived code set, they were up and running on a subdomain of ours in less than 4 days. Their site had been down for a month and a half.

Description: Effero had brought in a designer to create a new design for the client, but the designer wasn’t able to make the site work. RHI sent me to fix it. I used the designer’s layout but recreated it in Xhtml, Css, Php, Javascript, adding Rss feeds and a contact page. This project was done in 4 non-contiguous days. Effero won the client over.

Description: Curran & Connors needed to consolidate their widely distributed documentation into one intranet site. They built the admin/backend for their content management system, but having a lot of other projects to work on, asked me to build the front-end and format and enter the content. They had a timeframe of 4 weeks. The project was completed in 3. In thanks they gave me another week’s work formatting an important and complex financial document for the web to exactly duplicate the look of the printed document.

About the company: CMR provides commission bill processing for independent brokers on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange since 1986. In 2004 we saw the need to add Open Source and Web technologies to our business. We had been testing many different Linux distributions to find the best solution for business for a couple of years previous to this.
